Components are exactly what the name implies, they are components.
A few examples are:
- Resistors
- Capacitors
- Transistors
Components have a few details about them that I will explain here:

Every component has a certain number of points or pins.
The points/pins of a horizontal resistor.
In this case the root pin is the one with a green circle. -
The amount of pins can vary, but there is always one root pin.
Normally, the root pin is the pin on the top left of the component (with a few exceptions).
All movement and rotation of the component happens from the root pin. - The root pin defines the position of the component. If you move the component, your actually moving the root pin.
